TRIPLE RACING ROLLER COASTER 1936 Dallas Texas

In 1936 the Triple Racing Coaster opened at State Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. It closed in 1946 and was replaced by the Comet which lasted until 1989. This clip came from a series of old MovieTone newsreel clips I have had for years on VCR tape. Enjoy this rare footage.

That is so …
That is so interesting. It looks almost like there was more than one lift hill where the trains come out of that fan curve then onto what looks like a lift.
Also I wonder what the station for this looked like. Not sure why but I imagine chaos!

A similar ride was …
A similar ride was built at Fontaine Ferry Park. I doubt it lasted very long. I wonder if there were ever any quadruple racers…..
