Well the seasons are like the other states, just its a bit hotter than other states throughout the year, and humid. Snows(sleets) about 2 days a year maybe.

Last winter no snow and only a short time for freezing temps. It is still like summer now and probably will through september.Nov is usually comfortable .Some yrs Dec & jan & feb can be wintery, other yrs warm.Mar-May is usually spring like.Worst problems is violent T-storms W/hail & tornadoes a few times a year.Once every few years snow may get to 4-5 in but rarely stays.the worse prob is bad air inc crap the govt turns loose

summer starts in May but the temps are already starting to creep up in April, summer lasts a long long time, our longest season, it goes thru Sept and can even be quite warm into october, by Halloween the kiddies may finally need a little jacket. Fall is my fav season but sadly it is sooooo short here,So November is mild and December is cold but not too bad, we get our worst winter in Jan and Feb, so that brings us to Spring in March and that season is so short too and then back to a long Texas hot summer. Remember we have alot of tornadoes here too. We are in tornadoe alley.
texas is my home and I am a native Texan, been in and around Dallas Ft Worth all my life.
There is so much to do here and its true that the people in Texas are very friendly.
texas IS NOT the "anus of America’ as one harsh person said. I am not crazy about the hot Tx Summers but we have plenty of lakes to cool you down.

WINTER
December: Typically cool to cold, but days can be mild. Average low temperatures average 40 on December 1 and 34 on December 31. Wintry conditions, such as ice, sleet, and snow can occur.

January: Most reliable winter month in DFW; Coldest month on average.

February: Cold to cool. Winter weather is still possible. I’ve seen the temperature be as low as 8 and as high as 96 in February, although these conditions are very rare.

SPRING
March: Winter weather can occur in March, more likely at the beginning of the month – as was the case in March 2008, but there is an overall warming trend by the latter part of the month. Severe weather is possible, but not at the frequency of say, April and May.

April: Comfortable springtime month, usually not too hot or cold. Beginning of the severe weather season in DFW.

May: Warming temperatures, with highs in the 80s on average. Peak of the severe weather season. Wettest month.

SUMMER
June: Early June is basically a continuation of May conditions with higher temperatures. The severe weather season is winding down by this time. Towards the end of the month, things tend to really heat up, and it is not uncommon for the area to experience its first 100 degree day during this period.

July: The hottest month on average and usually very dry.

August: Another hot and dry month. The average high temperature is 96 at the start of the month and 92 at the end.

FALL
September: Noticeable cooling trend. Warm days and pleasant nights.

October: Comfortable autumn month, not to hot or cold. One of the wetter months of the year.

November: Mild days, cool to cold nights. Near the end of the month, freezing temperatures and winter weather, while rare, are possible.

In Texas, we have four seasons, just like everyone else. They are:

Pre-summer, from about January through April
High summer, from about May through September
Post-summer, from about October through the first three weeks of December.
Winter, one week around Christmas.

(I’m only partially kidding!)

Welcome to Texas!
