why did the nfl draft start so late this year?
Posted by: | Commentswhy did the NFL draft start so late this year?
it normally starts at like 11:00 am
it should start even earlier. Like 9am. So when you wake up, there will be many picks already done.
and the picks should be like 5 min. so we can get through faster.
they were seeing if they could get the first round and second round done in one evening. they want to make the draft a three day event. so this year was a test run to see if they could get it done. and yes they can. next years draft will more then likely take 3 days instead of just 2
Where can I learn conversational Spanish in Dallas, Texas?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve been trying to find a community college or international organization in the Dallas, Texas area that offers practical courses in conversational Spanish, but am not having any luck. Does anyone know where I can take a class locally? So far, all I can find are online or software courses and private tutors (which I cannot afford). If I have to, I’ll go the online/software route, but I prefer to interact with other people, since it helps me learn much faster. Thanks!
get a job as at a restaurant as a cook ! Seriously

Is getting a dallas cowboys party pass worth it?
Posted by: | CommentsIf you have attended a Dallas Cowboys game with the party pass is it worth it? Is the game still enjoyable even though you are standing up the whole game?
If that was the only way I could get in and watch, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
Any NFL game I have been to so far (3) the fans stand up almost the whole time anyway, so it’s really not that big a deal.
Nfl – Pittsburgh Steelers Get Their Second Consecutive Afc North Title
Posted by: | Comments
The 5-time Super Bowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, defeated the Baltimore Ravens 13-9 in an amazing way to get their second straight AFC North Division title. Their furious defense gave the Steelers a chance to score at the end of the fourth quarter, when things were getting more complicated for both teams. The Steelers struggled in their offense during the game but they managed to find their way with only 43 seconds left in the game when Roethlisberger made a 4-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes for the victory.
The Steelers were down in the game 9-6 prior moving 92 yards in 13 plays. Roethlisberger went 7-for-11 for 89 yards on the take as he converted seven first downs for Pittsburgh. Coach Mike Tomlin expressed that his guys have been a heck of a team as they have performed in great way when things get tough, especially in the last five games on the road. In these five games the Steelers have won by three or fewer points and at the end of the fourth quarter, which has been impressive. With these 5 straight wins the team has become mentally tougher and a more consistent one; the harder gets to win, the better for them.
“We hung together. And, hopefully, that’s a signature of Steelers’ football for ‘08. I know we’ve been in a bunch of these (games), and we’ve found a way to see our way out of some of them. Today was big for us,” alleged coach Tomlin.
The Steelers currently have the best records in every defense category at the NFL and none of their opponents have got to 300 yards in the season against them. In this game, Ravens were able to get only 202 yards and couldn’t convert a touchdown since all their points came from a field goal, this way we can remarkably put the Steelers’ defense as one of the main reasons of their victory against Baltimore. However, we have to mention that also the decision making of their quarterback the “Big Ben” Roethlisberger at the end of the game was a key for the Steelers to win.
The last play of the game by Roethlisberger became controversial due to the fact that the ball supposedly barely cross the plane of the goal and the referee gave the Steelers the touchdown after watching the video analysis. However, Ravens’ coach John Harbaugh disagreed because he didn’t see the ball passing the goal plane and that could possibly changed the whole story at the end. In any case, the ball did cross the plane and the result was the victory, the division title and the spot on the playoffs for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The next game of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be held at the LP Field on December 21st against the Tennessee Titans, which will be a very interesting game. The Steelers are currently in fourth place of the conference with a record of 11-3 and the Titans are in first place with a record of 12-2. We hope the best for the Steelers, who have become a great football team that is fun to watch especially with their incredible defense and their unity at the end of decisive games.

Everything You Wanted To Know About Alternative Medicine In Texas But Were Afraid To Ask
Posted by: | Comments
Many people in Dallas, Houston and throughout Texas are increasingly looking for ways to improve their health and well-being.
The following are ways to make using alternative medicine safer:
Look for a practitioner who is licensed by the state of Texas or is recognized by a medical association. If the practitioner is licensed, the licensing board can provide information about this practitioner’s education, training, and background, as well as disciplinary background.
Choose a practitioner who practices several alternative therapies or who is trained in both conventional and alternative medicine. The practitioner should listen to you and be sensitive to your needs. As with any other healthcare practitioner, you should be able to communicate comfortably and develop a good working relationship.
After you have chosen a practitioner, ask him or her about the safety and effectiveness of the proposed treatment. Also mention any therapies and treatment you are already receiving.
You may think alternative medicine has no long-term track record, but it’s actually been around for a number of years. Many of the medications and practices considered alternative or non-traditional find their roots in traditional African, American, Asian and European medicine. Because of their widespread popularity overseas, some alternative medications used in the U.S. may have already been tested abroad, even though the federal Food and Drug Administration has not yet tested nor approved them here. Also keep in mind that medication is just one small part of alternative medicine. Physical, spiritual, and mental therapies that are noninvasive and don’t require you to take medication are just as popular.
Tips for using alternative medicine
Do not treat yourself – seek the advice of a physician.
To find an alternative medicine practitioner, talk to your current doctor. Your health insurer may also be able to provide referrals.
Do your homework before trying alternative medicine. Libraries, bookstores, health food stores, and the Internet are good places to find information. Your physician or insurer may also be able to provide you with information.
Continue gathering information even after you have selected an alternative practitioner and/or alternative treatment – this can help you practice the treatment and monitor its effectiveness.
Although alternative medicine may have an important role in maintaining your health, don’t forget the need for quality traditional-medicine health insurance. Traditional medicine has a role, particularly with respect trauma and other acute care. And the traditional-medicine cost of an unexpected health event can be financially devastating.
